Hello!

I am a hunter, fisher, and maker originally from Missouri and currently settled in Arkansas. My love of the outdoors was instilled by my parents who took me with them into the woods or on the lake practically from birth. I have been playing with mud almost as long, which led me to get first a Bachelor of Art from College of the Ozarks in 2016, and then a Masters in ceramics from Texas Tech University in 2021.

There is a tradition in my family of "lucky pictures". When I was very young, my family went on a fishing trip to Canada. The first day out, everyone got skunked. That night, I drew for my favorite uncle the first lucky picture. He thanked me and stowed it in his jacket pocket. The next day, that uncle was the only one catching anything, and boy was he catching EVERYTHING! That night, he showed my dad the lucky picture I drew for him. Jokingly, my dad confiscated the drawing. The next day it was my dad who out-fished all the others. He does not go out without a lucky picture in his pocket to this day.

Every mug, bowl, or tea towel I make I want to wish the same luck to the people enjoying them as we bring a little of the outdoors in.
